The First one......

So.... I'm going to try my best to post every two weeks. Big goals I know. But every-other Monday-ish I will do my best to get a new post up. Fingers crossed. I'm going to post about my life as a mom, crafts I'll do, food I'll make (or eat) and anything else I feel like sharing. This is for me. A place I can express myself and if you want to read it- Great.

Where to start? At the beginning. I'm a new-ish mother to a beautiful baby girl, let's call her - as in Gizmo- for now. Sometimes she is a gremlin. Anyhow, Giz was born May 2012, and I am a stay at home mom. Who would have thought being around my adorable little gremlin- all day- would make me crave alone time.. I can remember a time when I got to pee all by myself.


While Giz is sleeping, I have taken up sewing. For Christmas I am making everyone a gift. Well most everyone is getting the same thing but in different patterns. And both of my best friends are pregnant- it's in the water (get it?)- so I am making them baby must haves for their showers too. Once Christmas and baby showers are over I'll post pictures. Or I'll get super excited and no one will be surprised when they get their gifts. Act surprised people!!

I also love love love to bake. And more than baking, I love to eat batter and cookie dough. I am so happy to not be pregnant and be able to eat raw batter again!


For my baby shower I made and decorated my cake:

I'll let you guess the theme. It was the first time I had to tried marbling the cake. Not as pretty as I hoped for but man was is delicious! Also- the frosting was all butter-cream. No fondant on my cakes!! Maybe I'll make a cake soon. I love cake!

Sometimes I cook real food too. I'm still getting the hang of doing things with the baby while not burning the house down. It's a learning process, by the time I get it all figured out I'm sure she'll be moving out and headed to college.

Speaking of college I go back to school soon! Finishing up my Associates degree, then we'll see where from there. Such a big decision.. and so much money..
